Projects

Respiratory-Related Mortality Rates Show A Positive Correlation With Increasing Air Pollution | Regression

  • This research leveraged three essential datasets to extract relevant variables for analysis, aiming to uncover the relationship between air quality and mortality rates in Alberta, Canada. Focusing on respiratory and cardiac illnesses, the study explored the impact of air pollutants.

  • Notably, the research employed various modeling techniques, including deep learning algorithms (such as Long Short-Term Memory and Convolutional Neural Networks) and classical machine learning models (such as ARIMA, Decision Trees, and XGBoost).

  • These models allowed us to predict trends, identify risk factors, and emphasize the need for targeted health policies to improve air quality and safeguard public health in Alberta and beyond. Available at : Link
